I'll say a prayer for you today,
please say a prayer for me--
It can't do us any good
to be such enemies.

I'm sorry I betrayed your trust
your friendship I truly need--
Please forgive my senseless act
and most unrighteous deed.

I hope you can forgive me.
You were my dearest friend--
I love you, I want you, I need you
back in my life again.

Please say a prayer for me today
and I'll say a prayer for you--
and may God Bless what we have left,
